Shown below are the main quality standards held by Barnfather Wire
The ever-expanding Barnfather Wire team consists of over 30 individuals all of whom, from machine operatives working on the factory floor to the MD, have in-depth, hands-on wire industry experience. We know our products inside out and, by drawing on our vast knowledge, can advise clients on wire solutions to meet their specific requirements.
Whenever you call the office you will be assured of a relaxed yet professional response and will generally find your enquiry can be handled by whoever picks up the phone, so complete is the team’s knowledge of our products. The people you’re most likely to speak to at Barnfather Wire include:
Having spent over 30 years of his career within the steel and wire industry Richard has made it his business to know every aspect of the trade.
A self starter with a ‘hands-on’ approach Richard has worked his way through every machine in the factory in order to fully understand what makes a business successful. His drive, ambition and wealth of knowledge combined with his dedicated, hand-picked team of experienced staff has ensured that the company is well placed to continue to be a successful and reliable supplier to many industries.
Sue is another original member of the Barnfather team, having amassed over 30 years worth of knowledge in the steel and wire trade. Sue’s areas of responsibility range from production and sales to the management of raw material and finished goods stocks, in addition to working closely with the company’s commercial development.
She ensures that our stocks are continually replenished so that we can provide clients with products in the fastest time possible.
Accounts Manager Barbara has worked in the wire industry for a long time and knows the products as well as any other member of the team. Her experience means you can be sure that your accounts will be up to date – and that our bills will be paid on time.
Dean draws on 25 years’ industry knowledge to help enhance our production capabilities and assist in the commercial development of new products as we continue to expand the Barnfather Wire range of products.
Backed by 20 years’ experience in the wire trade, Rachel is responsible for transport and quality control at Barnfather Wire.
Tim joins the company with a background in fabrication which means a new and exciting change of direction. Following a period of product training in the factory he will help to further enhance new and existing sales for the company.
Joined the company after gaining a BA Hons degree in Geography from Lancaster University. Rosie has an active role in the accounts department to help her to gain a fuller knowledge of the overall business.
Jennifer brings with her a wealth of knowledge regarding baling wire and its use on baling machines.
She was a founding member of Fairbright Industries who were well known for suppling baling wire to a large sector of the recycling industry.
Carol was Jennifer’s right hand ‘man’ in the early days of Fairbright Industries.
She began running the office and handling the day to day tasks, but as Fairbright began to grow she became more ‘sales’ orientated learning about the grades of steel and baling wire products through Jennifer’s teaching.
She is now an important part of the Barnfather Wire Sales Team.
As Carol became more entrenched in the Sales role, Wendy was employed as office administrator.
Wendy does have a background in the steel industry as she worked for Carrington Power Smith in days gone by.
She now fills a role between Sales and Administration.
What can we say – Graham is our ‘roving’ representative based ‘down South’ but he does travel countrywide when the need arises.
He again, has a knowledge of the steel trade, gained from his time at KTS
