Barnfather Wire make £2 Million investment in state of the art wire drawing machinery

New machinery produces up to 22 metres of wire per second, achieving record production levels, high quality products and moving forward in the market.

Barnfather Wire Midlands are excited to announce they have recently invested 2 million pounds into the world’s leading wire drawing machinery from the long-established manufacturer KOCH.

Managing Director Richard Barnfather said, “Our goal is to make the best-quality wire in the industry and with this new state of the art machinery we can not only triple our production, but we can ensure that the end product is consistently high quality”.

The wire production company have had two new lines installed. The first machine DB5 can work at a phenomenal speed, producing between 16-22 metres of wire per second of dead cast and helix free.  The second machine installed DB2 can produce up to 4 metres per second in sizes 4.75mm to 8mm. These new machines produce the largest diameter pattern laid coil in the UK and is produced with such precision and quality that there is nothing to touch it in the UK or Europe.

Barnfather Wire’s investment in ground-breaking technology ensures that they remain competitive in the market and can offer their customers quality and cost-effective products. The company is setting industry standards with these new developments in the wire drawing industry.
